SCHENECTADY, NY — February 26, 2026 — LogicalNet Corporation, a leading managed IT and cybersecurity services provider headquartered in Schenectady, New York, today announced a strategic partnership with the University at Albany’s Department of Information Security and Digital Forensics (Cybersecurity Department) to launch “Cyber Smart: A Leadership Education Series.”
The initiative brings together LogicalNet’s deep industry expertise with UAlbany’s world-class academic resources to deliver a free webinar series designed specifically for Capital Region business leaders, entrepreneurs, and organizational decision-makers who want to strengthen their cybersecurity posture.
Bridging the Gap Between Industry and Academia
“Cybersecurity is no longer just an IT issue — it’s a business leadership issue,” said Tush Nikollaj, CEO of LogicalNet Corporation. “By partnering with UAlbany’s Cybersecurity Department, we’re combining real-world operational experience with cutting-edge academic research to give business leaders the knowledge they need to make informed decisions about protecting their organizations.”
The Cyber Smart Leadership Series is structured as a multi-session webinar program, with each session featuring expert speakers from both LogicalNet’s engineering team and UAlbany’s faculty. Topics are selected to address the most pressing cybersecurity challenges facing small and mid-sized businesses in the Capital Region and beyond.
Series Topics and Schedule
The Cyber Smart series covers a range of critical topics relevant to today’s business landscape, including:
- Cybersecurity Strategy for Business Owners — Practical frameworks for building a security-first culture and allocating resources effectively
- Cyber Insurance: How It Works — Understanding coverage, requirements, and the evolving cyber insurance market with Dr. Unal Tatar of UAlbany
- IoT Vulnerabilities — Identifying and mitigating risks from smart devices and connected technology in the workplace with Dr. Benjamin Yankson of UAlbany
- Demystifying Cybersecurity Tools — A non-technical overview of the tools and technologies that protect modern businesses
The first session is scheduled for March 27, 2026, with subsequent sessions held monthly. All webinars are offered at no cost to attendees and are available both live and on-demand.
A Commitment to the Capital Region
The partnership reflects both organizations’ commitment to strengthening the cybersecurity readiness of the Capital Region’s business community. As cyber threats continue to grow in sophistication and frequency, many small and mid-sized organizations lack access to the expertise and education needed to protect themselves.
“This collaboration represents exactly the kind of industry-academic partnership that creates real impact,” said Dr. Sanjay Goel, Chair of UAlbany’s Department of Information Security and Digital Forensics. “By making cybersecurity education accessible and practical, we’re helping to build a more resilient business ecosystem across the region.”
